President Recchi charges Ancona: "We will have to fight in Recanati"

The recent precedents with Ancona are not comforting: in August, in the preliminary round of the Coppa Italia , Recanatese was defeated at Tubaldi, almost surprisingly, by a "work in progress" team by 3-1 even if, on that occasion, ample space was given to the young Giallorossi with seven under 11s in the starting eleven. A couple of months later there was a dull, subdued performance at Del Conero with the Dorics capitalizing on the early goal by Alluci (the former Ravenna player will however have to miss the next derby due to suspension), defending it then without particular suffering. However, the Biancorossi arrive at this appointment after having collected only 2 points in the last 4 games so much so that even an expert and generally measured insider like Vincenzo Guerini did not mince his words, in the press room, demanding from his "braves" a completely different attitude on the field compared to that seen in the last month. Whether the recent relaxation was partly due to the interlocutory position in the standings (too far from the prestigious places and sufficiently protected from any unpleasant surprises) is a question, objectively, of little relevance. The president Antonio Recchi himself has stressed however that he particularly fears Sunday's match: "Recanatese's defeat in Fossombrone means nothing also because we have seen from the images how it matured. They have an excellent squad and only for a series of factors have they not been able to play the season they wanted. They are a very fearsome team in which there are many players who are capable of making the difference. We must think about our things also because, with the teams that are behind us, we have taken some beatings, sometimes also due to bad luck but often due to our dolls".

In fact, your worst matches were against Civitanovese, Fermana, Termoli and Sora. Is there a logical explanation? "Maybe because we thought we were phenomenal and instead we are simply a team that has to fight and battle with everyone to get results. As a club we never let the players go without anything and therefore we are not willing to tolerate matches like the one three days ago".

Do you get the message? Two teams that, for different reasons, are looking for redemption and cannot afford the luxury of missteps. Especially now with only 9 games to play and points that are becoming increasingly important.
